Celaton Clay: Dark gray before firing, turns creamy white after firing. The clay body is mixed with fine sand, which helps retain moisture for a longer time. It is highly suitable for sculpting, hollow sculpting, thin sculpting, or slab work.
Lightclay: Throwing clay for wheel enthusiasts! Ideal for electric throwing wheels and projects requiring a white finish after firing (fired at 1,200°C – 1,250°C). The clay body is fine, less sticky, and dries slightly faster than Celaton clay, allowing tall forms on the throwing wheel to maintain their shape excellently.
CNX Clay: A special formula clay where fine sand is mixed into the clay body through kneading and wedging to address consistency issues of the Mae Rim clay. It is easy to form for both hand-building and wheel-throwing. The color does not distort after firing (firing temperature 1,200°C – 1,280°C) and creates charming tiny speckles from the sand scattered on the surface of the piece after firing.
Iron Master Clay: A clay with iron content in its body. When fired at 1,200°C, the iron creates unpredictable, charming speckles scattered throughout the piece. It can be used smoothly for both hand-building and electric throwing wheels.
