1. Clay Trimming Tools
Used for trimming clay while it is still damp. These tools come in various shapes and sizes. Most handles are made of wood or plastic, while the trimming heads are made of sturdy wire (both regular wire and rust-resistant stainless steel wire).

How to Use: Used to scrape off excess clay from pieces formed on a pottery wheel to achieve the desired thickness. Also used for shaping product bases and creating patterns or textures on the clay surface.
2. Carving Tools
Similar to soft wood carving tools, these are designed for single-sided use. The wooden handle end is used to absorb impact (acting like a hammer to add pressure), while the other end has a carving head made of rust-free metal or high-quality steel.
3. Decorating Techniques on Damp Clay
Generally, creating patterns on damp clay involves using both clay trimming tools and carving tools in conjunction, depending on their function.
