AMACO Bisque Fix is a high-temperature resistant cream for repairing ceramic pieces. It can be used to mend broken pieces or fill cracks in both greenware and bisque ware.
Its key feature is that repaired pieces can be refired. After firing, the Bisque Fix material becomes an integral part of the piece and can withstand temperatures up to Cone 10 (approximately 1,280–1,300°C), depending on firing conditions and manufacturer's recommendations.

Pro Tips for Using AMACO Bisque Fix
For strong and neat ceramic repairs, attention should be paid from surface preparation to post-repair finishing. Here are some interesting techniques:
1. Prepare the Surface Properly
Before applying Bisque Fix, ensure the broken or cracked area is clean, free of clay dust, debris, or grease, as these can reduce the adhesive's effectiveness.
For very narrow cracks, a pointed tool can be used to slightly widen the crack into a "V" shape, allowing Bisque Fix to penetrate and adhere better.
2. Apply Bisque Fix and Join the Pieces
Use a brush or small spatula to apply Bisque Fix to both sides of the crack. Then, press the pieces firmly together and wipe away any excess that squeezes out.
For filling cracks, apply Bisque Fix slightly proud of the surface, as the repair material may shrink when dry and fired. This allowance ensures the repaired area remains full and can be sanded smooth after drying.
